Ogio Baja hydration pack £88.08

Tough and durable pack with a weight penalty

BikeRadar score 3.5/5

Ogio's packs are built to take abuse, and with its tough dobby nylon outer and reinforced stitching the Baja is no exception. The downside to this resilience is that it’s stiff and weighty, and so can feel like an inanimate lump.

We had a hard time persuading the Hydrapak-branded bite valve to stop dribbling over our knees but an insulated tube sleeve and full-width bladder access are both useful, and the deep, stiff waist belt wings mean the pack is ultra-stable when out of the saddle.

Storage is perfectly split between one large and two smaller organiser pockets. The chest strap is height-adjustable for a perfect fit but the large flat spot in the centre of the back system didn’t sit too well with sweaty backs on warm rides.

Forget to close the ejector pockets on the waist belt at your peril – they’re at the perfect angle to jettison anything that’s not safely zipped away.
