SKS Grand DAD front mudguard review
BikeRadar verdict
"Great protection for you and your bike in filthy conditions"
Shopping partners
The Grand DAD is big and tough, though not cheap. The expander bolt setup is trying, but once you’ve nailed it the slide-lock quick-release makes the guard easy to clip off and on. It’s highly adjustable too, so it should fit a wide range of bikes.
The motocross-style nose sits out just enough to stop the crud flicking up into your face, while the rear section tracks the front wheel so you’ll get protection as you’re turning.
The rear section has a soft plastic edge to ensure you don’t get bashed. The aggressive design helps make the fender stiff enough to prevent any flapping on big hits, but flexible enough so it won’t hurt you when you stack.
