Alpkit Wee Airic
BikeRadar verdict
"Lightweight sleeping mat at a cost that's hard to beat"
Alpkit has continually impressed us with its affordable yet well designed camping kit. The Wee Airic is no exception. It’s a 3/4 length light-weight (494g) inflatable mat, similar in pack size and weight to MSR’s ProLite Thermarest, but a fraction of the price.
This kind of mat is perfect for less demanding tours – just add a waterproof layer or clothes to rest your feet on to make it more comfy.
It offers far better warmth and pack size (27x12cm) than a traditional closed cell foam sleeping pad, but unfortunately it’s not as robust. Our Airic suffered a puncture in use – which was easily repaired with a patch kit.
