OnGuard Pitbull Std
BikeRadar verdict
"You pays more money you get extra insurance protection"
The Pitbull sits second in the OnGuard range below the Brute and above the Bulldog, and although the lock barrel is more substantial than those below it, the shackle remains the same 16mm diameter. Under our handtool attack the Pitbull performs just as admirably as the Bulldog and Brute, yet it was cut through with our power tool in a very similar time. Once we'd cut one side we were able to open it enough to slip out our test frame.
So is the Pitbull worth the extra £9 over the Bulldog? Well in terms of strength probably not, what you are paying for is the jump from £500 to $2,001 in the anti-theft guarantee, so if you think of it as an extra £500 on top of the insurance, an extra £9 looks good value.
