Being Canadian, De Vinci take the no-nonsense 'tool for the job' approach to bike building.

The hard-as-nails Hucker comes in 14, 16 or 18in sizes and with a 22, 23 or 24in top tube reach. It's definitely a freeride hardtail rather than a pure jump rig though, so it comes with 36/24t rings (plus a bashguard) on Truvativ Hussefelt cranks and with nine SRAM X-7 shunted sprockets out back.

The replaceable sliding dropouts will let you run it with one sprocket if you're that way inclined. The Marzocchi Dropoff IV 130mm fork takes a hell of a lot of punishment without flinching and the wheels and tyres would be at home on a downhill rig, as would the Hayes HFX-9 brakes and big rotors and the rest of the heavy landing finishing kit. It's a superb all-round ride.
