Blessed with a brace of neat touches boosting function for racers

This basic windproof vest has a couple of interesting features that make it stand out. The tall, snugly cut neck is fully lined with super-soft microfleece: warm against the skin, it boosts the all-important snug factor and does a great job of trapping errant raindrops.

The hem is a simple elasticated affair and while the cuffs look boxy, they hide a mesh inner cuff that keeps the vest from riding up under pack straps while keeping the appearance baggy.

There’s more mesh venting in use on the back, although Nema have steered away from the highly breathable but draughty full mesh panel in favour of two narrow strips down either side; these provide more protection when you’re not wearing a pack but don’t inhibit breathability when you are.

Two Velcro-fastened vertical slots allow for easy access to jersey pockets, making this great if you hit the race track in winter.
