Fox Incline Gloves | $14.95
BikeRadar verdict
"Superb hand-on-grip feel and incredible value for money"
The seamless and padless Clarino leather palm of The Incline gloves feels like a second skin against the bars. Mid-thickness mesh backing allows enough air through to cool your mitts, but is not paper thin or easily ripped.
There’s a great sweat and snot wipe on the outer thumb too. And what about that price? Only £15 and you get one for each hand!
The only downside is the strap placement. We prefer velcro closures on the underside of the wrist so they don’t dig into the back of your hand.
Incline gloves are particularly great for wintry cross-country riding as they offer just enough coverage to keep your digits warm, but still give you a great feeling of control on the bars which thicker gloves tend to deaden.
The Velcro wrist-fastener sticks even in the wet and the gloves sit neatly at the base of your wrist for easy hand movement, although things can get draughty if your jersey sleeves don't hang long enough (in which case we recommend arm warmers).
The palm is fuss-free, with simple rubber stripes on the first two fingers that supposedly improve your grip but in reality rub off after just a few rides.
Sizing seems to suit all manner of hands - they're good for women too - and Fox does a huge range of colours.
