Good fit, weather protection and grip, although the short cuff doesn't really work for riding

Although not designed specifically for cycling, the MacWet Climatec sports gloves have many features that are ideal for mountain biking. They’re thin and minimal, and designed for maximum grip and feel.

Made from MacWet’s Aquatec fabric, the Climatec glove has a very thin palm, with no bunching and a leech-like grip when wet. This is amplified by the skin-tight fit, achieved by 14 available sizes.

With a thin fleece lining on the back of the hand, the Climatec helps keep you comfortable even when saturated in the heaviest downpours. Surprisingly, the glove dries really fast from soaking wet, and never seems to lose any traction on the bar.

However, the short cuff version we tested wasn’t ideal as the Velcro flap caught on undergrowth and did come undone a few times. We’d say the long cuff version should fare better for mountain biking. That said, the overall fit, feel and performance is very impressive for a non-cycling specific glove.
