IXS Thermo Gloves (10) | $64.10
BikeRadar verdict
"Simple cool weather style that’s great on and off the bike"
This is a plain looking glove, but you know what they say about the quiet ones. The palm is synthetic suede, which gives a good grip and, even though the padding is minimal, we liked the feel and control on the bike; the silicon print on the braking fingers is a nice touch too.
The back of the hand is a dense heavyweight fleece fabric that, while not hugely windproof, is just right for autumn or mild winter days. We liked the cuff shape a lot – there’s no adjustment tab but the curve, which sits longer on the top edge, fits well and doesn’t bind or irritate.
It might not be overtly ‘technical’, but this is still a glove we’d reach for on a lot of trail riding days – especially fast and furious or more sheltered routes. It’s also a good all-purpose glove for tooling around town on or off the bike, where its plainness is definitely a virtue.
