Race Face Aquanot Jacket
BikeRadar verdict
"Bad weather back country stalwart with nice comfort detailing"
The Aquanot is back on the RaceFace roster this winter, combining cold comfort with XC performance. The Storm Ultra-Lite cloth stops all but the most torrential weather getting through, with a fleecy collar and chinguard for cosiness. Long underarm zips help offset the relatively fast sweat build-up, keeping you cool and comfortable - if you stick to a steady pace.
The roomy cut won't please racers and it does increase the pack size, but it means ample room for bulky layers (including low profile armour) or bigger bodies. There's a chest pocket with internal pod port, and the fleece-lined handwarmer pockets are fantastic. They also work as map/munchies pockets if you don't lean forward too much.
