"A top update on an old favourite, with great features for the money"

The ever-popular Aquanot returns with a complete facelift. It’s now made from Stormlite 2.5-ply laminated waterproof and breathable fabric, which fends off wind and rain with ease while easily shedding mid-ride mud. This does means it’s bulkier than some rivals though.

It has a cross-country style fit, with a drop tail to keep your butt dry and waterproof zips on all pockets, front and side vents. The vents are particularly useful, because the interior can get a little steamy at times if they’re closed. It’s good to see a brushed lining on the tall collar for added comfort as well.

Dual rear zipped pockets offer plenty of space to stash everything you need for a ride. Race Face has even catered for music listeners with its iPod port in the front right pocket, while the coat’s reflective logos and lashes should see you safe on the roads.

All in all, it's a fantastic injection of modern features into a classic format – well worth considering
