4 out of 5 stars

"Solid, stylish and comfy freeride friendly performer"

Tue 16 Sep 2008, 2:00 pm UTCBy Ian Osborne

The soft, stretchy Tech XP material Helly Hansen have used on the Charger provides a comfy ride and is great at keeping the wet stuff out and not getting too damp on the inside, except on the hills. If you do get too hot, there are pit zips to aid ventilation.

This mid-weight jacket has an attached hood and is loose fitting without being too flappy and we like the hardwearing patches for backpacks on the shoulders, which prevent them from wearing prematurely and make it a great jacket for freeriding and all-day play.

Up front there is a sealing zip with a draft and rain flap and it’s finished off with two large side pockets to keep your stuff safe.
