The perfect three-season riding jacket for mountain bikers

Overheating is a common problem in intermediate seasons when it's wet but also fairly warm out, as a waterproof is too much and anything less isn't enough. >

The two-piece design of the Convert allows the water resistant rip-stop Nylon arm and shoulder section to separate via arm zips and three pop buttons on the back. Underneath is a windproof soft shell gilet with a mesh panel at the top of the back for venting. This lightweight gilet is the perfect thing to keep the chill off when it's too warm for heavier garments, and allows you to store the upper arm/ shoulder section in your riding pack - or even a pocket - for that inevitable downpour. >With a snug fit, the Convert jacket feels good on. The arms are plenty long enough and the drop tail keeps the draft away and the small of your back dry. I've been riding this jacket for a few months now and am really impressed with how waterproof it actually is, and the combination of having two jackets with me deals with most conditions when out riding. Best of all is the lightweight versatility of the whole jacket - it packs easily in even a small riding pack.
