The path uses two-layer Gore-Tex XCR (eXtended Comfort Range) with an internal mesh liner. Combine this with the contoured, cycle-specific fit and supple outer face fabric, and you have a jacket that feels softer and manoeuvrable, but not as tough as the three-layer XCR fabric on the Berghaus Tyrant jacket.
The overall feel of the Path may not be as extreme as the Tyrant but it's more comfortable next to the skin and also feels a bit warmer due to the closer fit and the mesh liner. The bike specific drop tail is easily stowed away for when you're not in the saddle, and the double underarm water resistant zips deliver oodles of venting options when things start to warm up. A good choice for bad weather on the bike but comfortable enough for day-to-day use.
