This outdoor jacket (not riding specific but great for riding) is made from Paclite, Gore-Tex's lightest waterproof fabric, with impressive breathability characteristics.
Wide-mouth, velcro-closure sleeves provide good ventilation for your arms and this partially offsets the lack of vents elsewhere. The sleeves are also long and, together with the wire-peaked stow away hood, this means good top half protection, although the boxy overall cut leaves your arse exposed on the bike, even if you tighten the hem. The jacket looks fine on the streets though, and there's loads of arm mobility for outdoor sports.
The big chest pockets swallow an OS map with ease, there's a storm-flapped iPod/phone pocket on the left sleeve and the detailing includes a fleecy beard guard. There are no reflective bits though, which is either a stealth plus or safety minus. It's as 'Pac-able' and 'Lite' (394g) as you'd hope too, although the price is on the heavy side.
