Wool tops are all the rage these days and this Adidas version goes for the full on retro look. The cut is classic, not too racey and slightly looser through the arms and torso, with three deep pockets in the back. A thick chest stripe and old school 'adidas' logo is clean and simple, while the multi-colour striped cuffs and neck add a dash of funky cool.
We've washed it several times, it hasn't pilled at all and the felt logos aren't showing the kind of cracking typical of old 1980s sweatshirts... yet.
A blend of 52% wool and 48% acrylic make it easy to care for (the label says hand wash, but we've put it through the machine on cold and it was fine), though it doesn't have quite the lustre of a fully natural product. This said, it's not itchy and the medium weight weave adds warmth on cooler days.
The short chunky zip is surprisingly comfortable against the skin and gives just enough ventilation if it does heat up. Retro cycling tops are pretty much down to personal taste - this one does the job.
Pricing is about standard for these kind of jerseys.
