Madison Trail LS jersey £34.99

Well priced, no-fuss performance

BikeRadar score 3/5

Our first impression of the Trail LS was that the fabric feels great. It feels substantial enough to reassure of its durability but still very smooth next to the skin. It wicks well and thanks to its anti-bacterial finish we did notice less of the ‘manmade fibre’ pong than usual post-ride.

There are some good details on this jersey, such as flat-locked seams, well-cut sleeves, stretchy side panels and a covered neck, which all add to the wearability – and it has a lot of ‘throw-on’ appeal. That's let down slightly by the lack of chin guard at the neck.

This meant that the zip irritated our chins when we did it up all the way. Mind you, given that the Trail LS comes at such a good price and with a no-fuss performance in all other respects, we’d make do by just leaving the zip down a notch.
