This technical base layer from Nike makes training through the cold winter months slightly more bearable. It’s made from a soft, fleecy material that traps warm air, while Nike’s sweat-wicking Dri-Fit fabric and ventilation panels on the sides and back help prevent overheating. Even so, it’s best saved for the chilliest of days when the temperature drops below 10°C.
The panels are shaped to stay tight on your body without constricting your movements, and flat stitching prevents any chafing. It has the pleasing side-effect of making you look more toned than usual, although be warned that your family and friends may tease you for dressing like Tiger Woods. Thankfully, if you don’t like red there are several other colour options to choose from on the Nike website.
