BikeRadar verdict

4.5 out of 5 stars

"Grip, comfort and quality in a bargain package. Not for the downhill set though"

Mon 2 Nov 2009, 2:00 pm GMTBy

Duffs' 4130 Lo combines a quality leather and suede upper with a soft rubber outsole. The soft mid-layer is very flexible, which translates into excellent feedback and the ability to fold round the pedal for that ‘monkey foot’ grip.

The soft rubber outsole hangs on well to pedal pins in wet or dry and there is plenty of heel cushioning for foot slams.

They’re super-comfortable when you wear them on or off the bike, and come at a bargain price, but minimal toe protection rules them out for downhill use.

  • youmay well have been given them but since when does £50 equate to a 'bargain', fair enough there are shoes out there costing a hell of a lot more but these are just a generic pair of skate shoes made for pennies in the far east. Nice, but not a bargain.
