Our review
An efficient pedaller with good protection, but seriously lacking in grip and control

The Dopes have a thick rubber toebox, high-top ankle and a well cushioned sole that protects your feet from trail attack.

The extra laces lock the shoe solidly in place, and power transfer is efficient with the stiff sole. However, this stiffness means the sole gives minimal feedback, particularly under the arch of the foot where you can’t feel the back of the pedal.

Combine this with a hard density rubber outsole and it’s a mission just to keep your feet on the pedals, let alone control or hop the bike.
