Northwave Vertigo | $109.99
BikeRadar verdict
"High performance and stylish enthusiast shoe"
Good looking and performing shoe for the price, especially from a top brand like Northwave. The Vertigos are aimed at enthusiasts and you’d be hard pushed to notice the performance disadvantage compared to a full carbon sole if you’re not racing.
Thin uppers with meshed panels provide a refreshing airflow without compromising durability. Speccing a carbon reinforced, resin sole keeps the cost down.
Their lack of toe bumper on the sole does make them a bit slippy though. The footbed is nice and wide and should fit most feet and there’s plenty of room at the toe box.
