It’s a wonder no one thought of this light, semi-waterproof design before. A real all-rounder

Altura’s Semidrys are lightweight baggy shorts with waterproof panels down the back of the legs. That gives you the best of both worlds – protection from trail wetness but airiness for year-round use.

The front of the legs have vent zips for warm days, while the pocket selection is limited to zipped hip pockets. Fit adjustment is by way of Velcro tabs at the waist and at the bottom of the legs, while a double popper waist fastening is secure.

We found the fit to be very good, helped by the articulated knees, which sit naturally in a slightly bent position, and a well-placed stretch waist panel at the back.

Knee pad wearers may find space a bit tight, though. No liner is included – Altura sell their own separately but you can, of course, wear these over any Lycra shorts.
