A great 3/4-length short let down by the waistband security

These thoughtfully detailed shorts from Endura are great for spring/autumn days. However, one thing lets them down.

Up front, a zipper and a Velcro tab aim to keep the shorts in place plus two cinch points adjust the elasticated waist. But the Velcro tab just isn’t strong enough: it pops open occasionally. We feel a micro-buckle would be preferable.

If Endura nailed this then it would do justice to an otherwise great short. With a good length cut just below the knee and a high crotch, we had zero saddle snagging issues.

The Cordura nylon fabric proved tough through a number of hard crashes and regular use in all conditions, with the reinforced seat showing just light signs of wear.
