Well worth the price, for everyday rides or even the big ones

The Evolution shorts are good quality all round; from the dual - surfaced EvoTech material to the smoothly stitched seams, with the fabulously comfy Ricaro 2 pad and simple logo'd leg grippers.

The eight-panel, curved piece construction, with a waistband that's shaped higher in the back, slightly dipped at the front, is ideal for a sporty position on the bike. In terms of performance, the ribbed inner surface material wicks just as well as Sugoi claims it does.

On the bike, they felt comfortably dry and friction free, while the outer surface is hard wearing and snag resistant. The multi-channelled, multi-density pad is a little bulkier than some elasticated one-piece pads, however it conforms well after several rides and washes. The fit is supportive without being at all restricting, and there's an 8in inseam and a drawstring waist to add to the comfort. All in all, the Evolutions may not stand out when it comes to looks, but on the bike, they're just right.
