Altura's Ergofit products are designed and cut with your shape on the bike in mind – in other words, you get movement and stretch from the shape of the garment and not just the fabric.
This is evident in the wearing – the fit of these tights is very good, and combined with the plushly warm material it makes them a joy to pull on in cold days. We liked the mesh of the bib a lot – it’s very soft, and with bound edges has a very comfortable, easy feel in wear. There are also the sort of details we’d expect in more expensive styles – namely a zip fly and stirrup feet.
The use of the same brushed fabric for the stirrups adds an extra layer of warmth that'll be a godsend to anyone that’s a martyr to their cold feet... We were also wowed by the chamois – it has a super-soft cover and is densely padded where you need it, with flex channels that allow it to mould to your shape – something that’s helped by a wide stretchy interface with the main body.
