Made from X Jersey Plus material, this is pretty much your standard Roubaix-type fabric in that it is fuzzy on the inside for warmth and smooth on the outside. The four way stretch means the longs move easily over your legs and articulated panels help keep the shape around the sides and knees. There are no foot loops but the ankle zippers make getting them on over socked feet easy and the grippy rubber cuffs hold the legs in place. The midweight thermal properties should see you comfortably through most of winter and only fall short on those bitterly cold days. Even better, they feel light and manoeuvrable in the more typical middling winter conditions. A simple, quality set of longs with a broad range. They're also available with a chamois for no extra cost, although we'd recommend going chamois-free and wearing regular shorts underneath.
