Endura at it again – making brilliant kit for off-roading

A decent pair of tights or knickers are an essential piece of kit for any serious all-weather rider – they can be worn on their own or under baggy shorts.

Shorts may be good enough for the hardened rider, but keeping your joints warm is important, and my knees are pretty shot, so keeping them warm keeps them happy. Endura make some of the best kit around, and these Cordura and Lycra mix tights are just the ticket. Kevlar stitching and Coolmax side liners that slide against the Lycra material hint at the off-road buyers they’re aimed at.

Sitting half way down your calf muscle, the legs use rubber grippers to stop them riding up. There are no seams on the inside leg and the fit is great, with equally great padding. The multi-density pad has plenty of padding while remaining thin enough to avoid walking like a duck. It also doesn’t seem to absorb too much water which, combined with the fast drying nature of the knickers makes them pretty comfy, which is perfect when you’re riding in the good old British winter.

They work just fine on their own most of the time, but wearing a short over the top will give great protection from the cold and wet weather
