Endura’s Baa Baa is made from natural Merino wool, which provides a superb natural layer that’s itch-free, unlike most normal wool jerseys.

Not only is it soft and comfy, it’s great at drawing the sweat away from your skin. Where it beats synthetics is that if it gets wet it stays warm, and offers a great weight-to-warmth ratio.

All seams on the Baa Baa are flatlock-stitched, so there’s no rubbing even when wearing a pack or other layers on top. The cut is fitted, making it easy to wear under other layers. One bonus, especially if you like multi-day epic rides or you’re just lazy, is this material doesn’t stink as much as man-made fibres, so you can wear it for several days without honking too much.

It is still machine-washable, and there’s no need to worry about being too delicate with it. At this price, the Endura is one of the best-value Merino base layers available.

    I've been using one of these for a few months now. It has performed faultlessly. It provides me with the perfect amount of warmth when combined with a wind-proof top.

    The best thing about this top for me, as mentioned in the review, is its natural anti-odour properties: I've avoided washing it for a couple of weeks worth of 2hr daily commutes without emitting so much as a whiff! (Perhaps I should have posted annonymously?!) The last thing you want as a daily commuter is to be washing your gear every day. I'll never buy synthetic tops again.

    I've been using one of these for the last week of commuting. It's great - thin but warm, and so comfortable after the synthetic base layer I had been using which was cold and clammy when soaked with sweat. My journey is now so much more enjoyable, highly recommended.
