Helly Hansen Trailwizard L/S Base Layer | $62.35
BikeRadar verdict
"Thick base layer with decent ventilation and fast wicking, but it’s basic"
The Trail Wizard deviates from the traditional thin Helly base layers we’ve seen for so many years, feeling halfway between a base layer and a mid layer. This is relatively thick and loose fitting, with a short zip to help you regulate your temperature.
It’s made from several different materials on certain panels, with airy perforated fabric under the armpits for ventilation.
There aren’t any pockets, hem grippers or zip garages, but this simple stripped-down top claims to offer sun protection on warmer days. It’s one of the fastest wicking and quickest-drying jerseys too. Perfect if you want a general multipurpose jersey that will work for other sports too.
