This sealed unit is also part of the Mirage and Veloce groupsets and is largely made of steel, but has a very good long-term reliability record.

At 407g it is 49g heavier than previous versions and worth upgrading if the bike is being used for racing. They have improved the cups to help prevent slipping of the FAG-type UT-BB100 tool when installing the unit, and this helps to get it really tight in the frame - a good thing on Italian threaded frames in particular.
