BikeRadar score4/5

Once a weight-saving option and only available on the more costly brakes, single pivot (differential) rear brakes are now standard on most of the Campagnolo range except Mirage.

The single pivot rear calliper is a little tricky to align - you'll need a 15mm cone spanner - but proved to give ample stopping power even for the heaviest of riders. These brakes take quite a lot of running-in before the brake blocks provide enough bite for fast descents and a further improvement was made by fitting Record brake blocks instead. The max and min reach of these brakes is 40mm-50mm and there are three optional allen bolts depending on the depth of the bike's fork crown ranging from 13mm to 18mm and 24mm for deeper section fork crowns.
