Shimano T7800 Extension Brake Levers (09) | $113.69
BikeRadar verdict
"Basic looks disguise top-class brake-boosting performance"
These basic looking levers don’t look like Dura Ace quality, but they work beautifully.
The blocky end plug and long metal lever blade are definitely in the plain but functional camp, and at 103g they’re not light either. However, the blade length and flatter finger section really amplify the power of whatever anchors they’re working with.
The cable cradle also sits in a slotted mount to create a leverage-boosting cam effect at the rim contact point for maximum control.
Smooth feel, quiet return and lack of rattle show you’re dealing with proper quality too. The expanded plugs are both secure and easy to adjust and you get cables included.
