The new Dime and Axis brakes launch Quad’s assault on the cross-country scene. The sturdy all-metal lever is the same proven piece as the original Sting brakes but the calliper is a new lightweight unit.
It’s single piece rather than two bolted halves, which is pretty much unheard of at this price and gives excellent power and decent modulation.
The white Dime also adds reach adjustment, heat resistant phenolic pistons for Alp-proofing, an adjustable banjo for hose angle adjustment and a wavey Pulse rotor to the basic £59.99 Axis brake.
You might find pads a bit trickier to find than better known brakes so bulk buy.
