There are quite a few fixed leg carbon forks around these days, but we'd say this White Brothers offering is up among the very best.

This White Brothers offering is up among the very best.

There are quite a few fixed leg carbon forks around these days, but we'd say this White Brothers offering is up among the very best.

The 425mm (axle to crown) one weighs in at 740g, but there are 445mm and 465mm options to suit frames with long fork geometry or big wheelers. Oh, and if you have a 26in wheel frame but want the bump-taming bonus of a bigger wheel up front, you could even try a 29in wheel in the 445mm fork: in most cases, it won't mess up your frame geometry.

The legs are all carbon, the crown and dropouts are shiny black aluminium, build quality is excellent and the ride is, not surprisingly, as precise as a very precise thing at the same time as damping some of the trail vibrations you feel with the heavier steel or aluminium alternatives.
