Fox F120 RLC QR15 Fork

BikeRadar verdict

45 out of 5 stars

"Light and superbly controlled, although QR15 can’t beat a 20mm axle for stiffness"

By Guy Kesteven, What Mountain Bike

The fork that set whole new standards for the 120mm category this year gets a stiffness boost from the excellent Shimano/Fox QR15 screw-through axle collaboration.

It’s not quite as stiff as a 20mm axle setup but it’s much stiffer than a quick-release skewer and more intuitive than RockShox's Maxle system for novice users.

It’s a beautifully controlled fork with a supple, traction-grabbing start sliding into a progressive and controlled finish to handle the big stuff.

Low-speed compression and lockout threshold adjustment gives keen tweakers plenty to play with, and reliability has proved excellent on the dozens of sets we’ve used.

Manufacturers description

New crowns, steerers and lower legs all add up to a lighter and stiffer cross country weapon. The new chassis features our 15QR lower leg option, a tool free through axle for fast no-hassle wheel changes and incredible stiffness to weight ratio. Our race proven and improved damping gives riders velcro traction and steering precision while providing seamless transitions from compression to rebound
