It may be a small detail, but the Fox 40 RC2’s 20mm through-axle only requires a 5mm Allen key to remove it, which makes life far easier compared to other triple-clamp forks.

The FIT RC2 damper offers external low- and high-speed compression adjusters as well as rebound, that all work well with a great effective range, making it very simple to dial the fork in and get it feeling spot-on.
You might find the stiff chassis deflects too much vibration through your bike and body, though. There is some stiction in the fork, but this looks like it will be solved with the introduction of the Kashima coating in 2011.
