The carbon is overkill, but we love the grips

If you're used to 'normal' grips then these will feel weird to start with, but it's worth persevering. The flared ends offer lots of extra support, which helps to spread the bump loads, as well as decrease palm and forearm fatigue and slightly increase control confidence on rough terrain.

While bar ends may not currently be in vogue, their added hand position is good for climbing and cruising. You can get the grips without the carbon bar ends for under £20, or with slightly heavier bar ends for under £30. There's a Gripshift version too, and all the models come in both men's and women's sizes, too.
