The best chromoly steel bars are still a worthy option for hardcore security, and the multi-butted and fully heat-treated 4130 Cromo Open Prisons are as light as some hardcore alloy bars, but good Cromo steel bars usually give you more warning than other materials that they've had enough abuse by bending gradually.
These are provided with stem clamp shims so that they can be run on either BMX (22.2mm) or MTB (25.4mm) stems, and they're available in Satin Black or White. Our sample was 30g lighter than listed.
