Wrapping an aluminium alloy bar and stem in carbon fibre adds stiffness at the expense of weight and vibration damping – great if you want a stiff and relatively unforgiving setup but not if you want even slight comfort.
If you favour anatomical shape drops then you’ll love these as they have a pronounced raised shape on the drop which falls easily to hand and offers plenty of grip. That, coupled with lots of wrist clearance and the stiffness of both bar and stem, makes this an ideal sprinting/crit setup.
