Hope tapered headset review
BikeRadar verdict
"Blinding quality, a genuine fit-and-forget item"

With bikes increasingly being built with tapered steerer tubes, the number of replacement aftermarket headsets on offer is beginning to grow. Hope Technology are already well established in this area, with a full range of headsets for other head tube standards.
Their 132g tapered headset uses the exact same design as their 1-1/8in headsets, with only the lower cup changing to the larger 1.5in diameter. Available in black only, Hope’s machining is perfect and tolerances are spot-on.
Hope only specifiy top quality Swiss-made INA cartridge bearings which, in conjunction with great sealing, run smoothly for years, regardless of the conditions they're subjected to.
We have an integrated Hope headset that's done four years of near daily service and lived outdoors 24/7 in that time – it still runs like new. This tapered unit is only three weeks into service and is perfect – we’ll report back in a year.
