Shimano's XT label is synonymous with quality and reliability, while offering true value for money compared to similar more costly hubs. These Centre Lock disc units are simple but tough small flange hubs with aluminium shells.
Inside you'll find 10mm steel spindles with doubled sealed cup and cone bearings for a smooth, hassle-free ride. The hubs use Shimano's Centre Lock spline system for mounting discs which offers positive and direct braking power.
As you'd expect, these XT offerings come with Shimano's reassuring freehub body that allows you to run both eight- and nine-speed set-ups. As for the weight, they're certainly not too lardy, tipping the scales at 180g for the front and 369g for the rear.
Trusty workhorse type hubs that are very reasonably priced and easy to maintain (replacement parts are available). Available in either 32- and 36-spoke options.
