Mavic Race SL Ti pedals review

BikeRadar verdict
"Low-friction bearings and a positive action make these a solid choice"
Shopping partners
One of our testers has been using a set of Mavic’s top pedals for around a year now, and although the carbon composite plate in the middle of the body has worn, and a little of the surface finish has come away from the aluminium body, they’re still functioning well.
The lightweight titanium axle spins beautifully on two sealed bearings and a needle bearing, and getting inside for routine maintenance is easy enough with a Shimano-type pedal tool.
Clipping in and out is smooth yet definite, and the pedal platform is big enough for a solid feel. The cleats do wear quicker than most, though. Overall, solid pedals that would have scored higher but for the hefty price.
