You can buy a seriously high-end pair of flats for the price of one of these new Twenty6 pedals, so they’d better be good. They are, but not quite enough.
On the bike, the first thing you notice is that, while there’s undoubtedly loads of grips, the pedals do feel a heck of a lot smaller than Burgtecs or Atomlabs.
The 6foes are a really good set of pedals and the build quality is unquestionably superb, but that price tag is just too hefty.
At the heart of these pedals are 6061-T6 CNC-machined alloy bodies that are visibly smaller than a lot of their rivals and titanium axles. Everything is buttery smooth thanks to ABEC-3 bearings and self-lubricating oil-lite bronze bearings, which also keep maintenance low.
Each side has 11 pins with a further 10 possible locations.
The 6foes also come with two sets of different pin lengths for added customisation. The size, level of machining and those axles mean the weight is just 371g for the pair.
When you consider that DMR V12 Mags with the titanium axle upgrade are 20g lighter and £60 cheaper, you’re just paying for the adjustability. And it just isn’t worth it.
