Originally this was designed to be a pure road saddle, but when the secret leaked out that it was actually a place where you could comfortably sit for an eight-hour stretch, mountain bikers soon got savvy to the Aliante.

Fizik responded by producing an MTB-specific version, called XM. Comfort is ensured by Fizik’s clever ‘Wingflex’ system, which allows the flanks of the saddle to flex as your thighs move through the pedalling motion. 

Add softer-than-standard padding and sumptuous swoops to give love to the bits that need loving, and you’ve got a saddle fit for all occasions.
