DO NOT BUY THIS SEAT POST!
I just snapped mine today and i weigh only 70kilos and was seated, riding over lumpy sections in Epping Forest.
Im lucky to not have two butt holes and a trip to the damn hospital!
I wasnt even pushing it hard when riding. Could NOT believe it.
Ive got it on video from the cam i had mounted to the frame. You can NOT miss the huge CRACK when it happens. Im trying to upload it to youtube. Will keep you posted as im having dramas with the upload.
VERY VERY unhappy with this product.
Infact, i'd like FSA to supply the best and lightest alloy model they have at the 350mm length to replace my broken one.
It doesnt even really look like carbon fibre. More a resin centre with carbon webbing on it. If that webbing wasnt there, the seat wouldve fallen off after breaking and the fractured end wouldve gone up MY end.
Do not trust anything carbon
For this reason im now also getting rid of my carbon fibre handlebars for fear of a similar outcome.
Sure, carbon fibre is x-amount stronger than steel but...
Simply put- carbon is NOT made to flex. Being a seatpost/handles bars, they ARE going to flex. Carbon will crack, then snap off.
If this happens with handles bars, i'll pray for you, coz you'll need it

You have obviously had a bad experience with a faulty seatpost. I can assure you that Carbon Fibre IS meant to flex, a great deal without deforming. Getting rid of your Carbon bars is a bit extreme to be honest but if you feel that weary of them then you go for it and downgrade. Also bear in mind that this is a road seatpost and you used it offroad...
I have not had problems with mine, its been comfortable, easy to adjust, great price and lightweight.
