BurgTec X-Press Seatpost (09) | $130.09
BikeRadar verdict
"Expensive, great looking, opinion-dividing seatpost"
The latest product from the Burgtec boys is the X-Press post, aimed at the increasingly weight conscious gravity set.
Running carbon posts on bikes with high-impact stacks is always down to personal choice, but if any carbon post is going to withstand abuse, then this is surely it.
The X-Press is constructed from a thick carbon post pressed and bonded into a machined 7075 alloy clamp with titanium bolts.
Weight is good at 210g with the added carbon thickness toughening things up. It’s not cheap but what you do get is a trick-looking, light post capable of taking the knocks.
