The Sy'Stem has a bulky yet cleanline appearance and offers some good design features. It looks wide, but it does clamp the bar securely and the shim allows for either a 25.4mm or 31.8mm bar. The 55mm length and 0-degree rise make for a sensitive feel with good weight distribution over the front of the bike - it also makes lifting the front wheel a great deal easier for dirt and street riding.

In fact, Simtra have obviously done their homework and designed the clamping system with dirt jumpers specifically in mind... By building an internal and removable clamp in the stem, the bolts are well away from the rider, preventing any skin or clothing getting snarled up in them when you're riding.

The stem does what it was built for very well. OK, the ideas behind it may not be particularly original and it isn't cheap, but it's a good product and the variety of colours will definitely appeal to those who want to pimp their ride.
