BurgTec Stanction Mansion (09) | $219.66
BikeRadar verdict
"A well made piece of kit that oozes benefits and makes riding downhill even more of a pleasure."
Getting your controls dialled on your downhill rig is vital and you need to trust in them 100 per cent. The Stanction (sic) Mansion is beautifully crafted from 608 T6 Aerospace aluminium and designed to fit the Fox 40 fork. Fitted with titanium bolts as standard, this bad boy weighs in at 690g.
The integrated stem and crown, using the flat four-bolt bar clamp, enhances the rigidity of the front end, giving a more precise feel to the steering and preventing any twisting out of place if you do crash.
Combining both stem and crown can potentially save weight depending upon your current setup, along with allowing the steerer to be cut even shorter meaning further weight savings.
We tested the 31.8mm clamp, which has two reach settings of 35mm or 50mm, giving more choice and helping get that all-important setup sweet spot.
The Stanction Mansion complements the Fox 40s perfectly, creating trustworthy and precise controls for any ride.
Manufacturers description
Integrated stems are the future. Just like Moto X, if you crash on your run it will allow you to get straight back up and get the result you need for a championship. Remember championships won on your good days they're lost on your bad ones. Used by World Cup winner Tracey Hannah and Junior World champ Ruaridh Cunningham. Lightweight crown and integrated crown saves weight vs. normal crown and stem arrangements. Also shortening the steerer tube lightens things up further.Shopping partners
