Kenda Nevegal 2.1 DTC | $42.88
BikeRadar verdict
"Good value, tubeless-ready dual compound tyres with great wet-weather tread"
The often forgotten Kenda tyre range has a gem for the UK. The Nevegal 2.1 DTC's shallow, hard compound centre tread with leading edge knobs makes this a quick one in the wet.
Combine this with the softer compound yet well-supported side knobs and you have a tyre with great cornering grip.
The open, shallow tread clears quickly, but the round proļ¬le may not suit aggressive riders in turns.

Everyone I ride with, including myself run John Tomac SWS Nevegal 2.1s. Nobody has a bad thing to say about them, They are a preference to High Rollers in most conditions. Really quick tyres. I will definately buy these again.

Have one of these on front and Bluegroove on back. Have just replaced tyres recently and was unsure whether to fit these again; with review after review "bigging these up!" - I was persuaded to fit them again. As well as off-road I also do a daily commute on wet, mucky, Icy rural roads (well they are this time of year anyhow) and although they tend to drag a little on tarmac in the dry, it's a small price to pay for the feeling of confidence they give when riding in poor weather conditions...

I run these in the winter then change to small block 8's for the loose over hardpack in summer. Sensational tyres. Its always a choice over weight or reliability then fast tyre or grippy ...nevegals seem to do it better than the rest.

Been running these tyres for wile now. excellant tyres!! amazingly grippy in all conditions. only thing bad i have to say about them is that i found that they dont clear very well in really boggy mud and have a lot of drag on tarmac but you learn to put bit extra effot in to compensate. downhill on dry rocky terrain however i can fault them! grea tyre (goes well with the blue groove up front, again another great tyre)

good grip - but shockingly bad for pinch flats - I've was running nearly 50psi in these and still regularly pinch flat on rocky descents in the peaks

Superb wet wetaher tyre, and cope well enough with stretches of hardpack and tarmac to never really wish you'd fitted anything else for 3/4 of the the year. Wear rates are acceptable and punctures no more often then normal.
