Continental pitch their Supersonic as a race-orientated tyre and its medium depth, fast-rolling tread certainly feels fast off the mark, especially for a full 2.4in width of rubber.
Rolling resistance is lowered and grip increased by the use of Continental’s Black Chili compound, a blend of synthetic rubber that gives a marked boost of confidence when cornering on any terrain.
A rounded profile leans the tyre into corners smoothly while a good edge rail keeps it holding upright with minimal drift. A great all-rounder for lighter riders or those looking for a speed advantage.
